What is HDhat?

HDHat is the world's largest real estate video tour editing service.  HDHat has edited, syndicated and now hosts over 10,000 real estate videos.  We have trained agents worldwide how to capture the video clips needed to produce professional level real estate videos. 

The process is simple....the agents captures the basic video clips needed....then uploads those clips along with the properties information and HDHat does the rest!
We edit, narrate, host and syndicate your simple to capture video clips.

Overview of the process

Step #1

Go to http://www.hdhat.com and click Order

Step #2

Select either the Standard Plan or Pro Plan
On this page you can also click to compare plans or
download marketing flyers.

Step #3

This is the property information page.  Please fill in all fields.
*There is a link next to the narration box that will open up a page that details how to properly enter narration text.
*You may also click the link next to the 'choose music' section to preview different music choices, and then enter your choice in the box provided.
NOTE: Shortly(5-25 minutes) after filling out this form you will get a confirmation email that has a
Subject: Property information Received-HDhat Video Tour

Step #4

Once you have clicked Submit on the form above you will directed to this page below. 

At this point you have 2 options

Option 1: DROPBOX.COM

Close the page after submitting the property information form and then use your http://www.dropbox.com account to create a folder named the property address.  Then add your video files to the Dropbox Folder and be sure each file has a checkmark symbol on it which may take a bit of time depending on your connection speed.  Once this is complete and every file has a checkmark then go to www.Dropbox.com and simply share that folder with This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  This is the fastest and simplest method to get your video clips to HDhat. 
Note: A http://www.dropbox.com account is free(2gb of storage)

Option 2: YOUSENDIT

This page is the page that loads after you submit the property info. form and where you upload up to five video files that will be used by HDHat.com to create your real estate video.
Please be sure to input the property address in the Subject line so that HDhat can match
up your video files with the order.

Once you click 'Send It' be sure to not close the page until file upload is complete.

If video files fail to upload you may go back to the Order Page and click "Did your files fail to Upload" to try again.
We do not recommend transferring large video files via a wireless connection and if you have continuous difficulties

Once the files have fully uploaded(100%) you will receive another email with
Subject: HDhat Real Estate Video File Received

This email is confirmation that we have received your video files.

Step #5

When will your video tour be complete?
Please allow one business day for your real estate video tour to be completed.

HDhat begins the process when your video files are actually received....not when you start uploading.  So if you start uploading at
5 p.m. on a Monday, but the files don't finish uploading till 8 p.m. then we consider that to be Tuesday and your video tour will be done at the latest on Wednesday. 
If received after 5 p.m. on Thursday it could be Monday until your real estate video is complete albeit HDhat does try to squeeze as much work as possible into the
end of each week.  However, Thursday night and Friday are big upload days so please expect that the 1 business day rule applies and it will be Monday when you receive
the approval link from our system. 

Step #6

APPROVAL LINK



Note: Within 1 Business Day(see schedule notes in Step 5 above) you should receive an "approval link" from our system. 

Subject of email you receive from our system will be:  Tour pending your approval

If you have not seen the approval link in 1 business day please check
your 'spam folder' and if you then cannot locate the email please contact us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it

Sometimes the emails are deleted by clients spam filter so please contact us if you have not seen the
approval link within 1 business day of the time we received your video files.

Step #7

VIDEO APPROVAL
When you click the approval link in the email you receive from the HDHat system(see Step #6 above) you willbe brought to a page that looks like the screenshot below.  Here you can preview the video and
choose *Approve, *Re-edit(videographer or agent mistake) or *Re-edit(HDhat mistake).  Use the comments box to give specific details if a re-edit is needed and click 'Submit'.
If you choose Approve then you should receive the branded and un-branded tour links within 10-25 minutes. 

Step #7

Syndication
For a complete list of sites HDHat syndicates to and option please click here 
Syndication to all of those sites listed is normally completed within 1 business day of the time the tour is approved. 

Step #8

Billing
If this is your first tour then one of our customer service reps will contact you to obtain a credit card # to put on file prior to beginning the editing process.  This will also serve to streamline the process on all your future tours.
